Wire Ring Tutorial, Rose Ring, Wire Weave Tutorial, Wire Wrapping Tutorial, Wire Wrap Jewelry Tutorial, Wire Work Tutorial, Wire Wrap Ring

Inspired from the Rococo Architectural style. This ring is floral and full of small details. Looks majestic while wearing!! Simple to make.. no soldering and no cabochon. Make it from Copper or silver wires only. You will enjoy this 29 pages of tutorial with step by step instruction via 28 steps illustrated with 90 photos..

• This tutorial is based on 6.5 /7 Ring size. The wire lengths will change based on the Ring
size.
• You need a basic understanding of wire wrapping and weaving and should be able to
hand form curves and shapes.
• Final width of ring created in this tutorial is 1.5 cm.
• Please go through entire tutorial once before starting, to get the overall idea of how the
ring is being created.
• Refer the photos before creating any curve or fold.
• At every point where variation is possible I have listed those for you.

Materials:

Wires:
1. 6” or 15 cm of 18ga (gauge) solid Half Hard Square copper wire, cut in following pieces:
– 3” or 7.5 cm – 2 piece
2. 6” or 15 cm of 20ga (gauge) solid round dead soft copper wire.
3. 16” or 40 cm of 22ga (gauge) solid round dead soft copper wire, cut in following pieces:
– 8” or 20 cm – 2 piece
4. 126” or 320 cm 30ga (gauge) solid round dead soft copper wire, cut in following pieces:
– 84” or 213 cm – 1 piece
– 24” or 61 cm – 1 piece
– 18” or 45.5 cm – 1 piece

Copper beads:
2.5mm bead : 3 beads
2 mm bead : 3 beads

Tools :
1. Flat nose pliers
2. Flush cutters for cutting the wire
3. File (to smooth out all cut ends of wire)
4. Chasing Hammer
5. Bench block
6. Ring Mandrel / any tapering dowel ( I am using the handle of Burnisher )
7. Jewelry Polishing pad or Nylon jaw pliers to straighten the wires
8. Marker pen
9. Ruler to measure

Variation:
This Ring can be created without the hammered parts – but it will lose the depth hammering gives to the piece.

For final finishing:
You can leave the copper ring as it is looking shiny or with natural tarnish. But I prefer to polish my pieces to high gloss, to do that you will need following
1. Liver of sulfur or any copper antiquing solution
2. Steel wool
3. Flexible shaft rotary tool with Cotton buff wheel
4. Polishing compound of your choice
Copper tends to leave Green marks on skin, to avoid that you can coat the ring with Jewelry Lacquer.
